This policy explains what information Inspect KC LLC (“Inspect KC”, “we”, “us”), a home inspection company based in Lee’s Summit, MO 64086, collects through inspectkc.com and our booking process, how we use it, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Booking information. When you schedule an inspection through our online booking form (provided by our inspection software, Spectora) or by phone or email, we collect what you give us, such as your name, email, phone number, the property address, the services you choose, and any notes. The booking form is run by Spectora, which has its own privacy policy at https://www.spectora.com/privacy/.
- Inspection information. Details, photos and reports from the inspections we perform.
- Website usage. Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed and general device and location information. Google Analytics uses cookies. You can learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
How we use it
We use your information to schedule and perform your inspection, deliver the report to you and the people you authorize, bill for our services, answer your questions, send the job-related text messages you agree to, and improve our website.
Text messaging (SMS)
We only text about the job at hand: your inspection booking and report, such as inspection booked, inspection cancelled, and report ready. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. Our booking form has an optional, unchecked checkbox for these job-related texts, which reads:
By selecting the checkbox and submitting this form, you opt-in to receive informational text messages (inspection booked, inspection cancelled, report ready, etc.) from Inspect KC via an automated system. Opting out of transactional messages may prevent you from receiving updates about your inspection booking and report.
Message frequency may vary. Standard data rates may apply. Reply ‘STOP’ to unsubscribe from future messages. For more information, reply ‘HELP’.
Agreeing to receive text messages is optional and is not a condition of booking or of any service. We do not share, sell, or rent mobile numbers or text messaging opt-in data or consent to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed to provide our services: with the people you authorize to receive your report (for example, your real estate agent), with service providers that help us run our business (such as our inspection and scheduling software, Spectora, and our text messaging and email providers), and when required by law. Text messaging opt-in data is never shared for marketing, as described above.
How long we keep it
We keep your information until you ask us to delete it. We keep all of our business records and reports.
Your choices
Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts. To ask for a copy, correction or deletion of your information, contact us below. Because we keep our business records and reports, some records may be kept after your information is removed from our contact lists.
Children
Our services are for adults and are not directed to anyone under 18.
